When was the last time you had sex? For many of us, there has been a period in our lives where we’ve suddenly realised it’s been a long time since we’ve had sex.
Superdrug recently conducted a survey of 1,500 European and Americans to see what was the longest length of time they’d gone without sex.
The longest time? One person went for 27 years without it.
Think beyond the thrust. On average, men thrust for about 3-7min before it’s game over. However, research shows this isn’t enough time to arouse most women. Stretch out your performance with clever positioning
Of the four categories, divorced people have the longest average dry spell lasting three years, people in a relationship or engaged have a dry spell of one week, married people also have one week and single people average two months.
The lengthiest answer for divorced people was 25 years and for single people was 27.
However one person in a relationship said they had gone 11 years without sex while in said relationship and a married couple went 13 years without.
The survey also revealed that nealry half of men (47%) would lower their standards in order to get laid.
A quarter (27%) said they would call an ex to try and break the spell.
People who were experiencing dry spells in their relationships said talking with their partner was their number one method to end the spell. This was followed by trying new sex positions.
If these options don’t work, the data also asked what activities people do to “cope” with their lack of sex.
Both men and women cited masturbation as their top activity. This was followed by exercise and sleep for men and sleep, exercise and bing-watching TV for women.
If you’re experiencing a bit of a prolonged dry spell, at least you have Netflix.
